The Beauty of Nature’s Daily Cycle: Experiencing Sunrise and Sunset

As the sun rises, we enjoy a stunning natural display of a new day. It never fails to captivate. And as it sets each day, we experience another breathtaking sight. The vibrant hues that paint the sky during these transitional moments are a true gift. They remind me of the beauty and wonder that surrounds me.

Witnessing the sunrise is a rejuvenating experience. The first golden rays of light slowly illuminate the world and signal the start of a new day. It’s a time to reflect and set intentions. Embrace the day that lies ahead.

At 20:04 pm on the 24th December 2024, I used the Photopills app to determine where the sun was going to rise, Being in Dublin on that day and always wanting to get a shot of the Wooden Bridge in Clontarf, I was happily surprised that the Sunrise was going to align with the Wooden Bridge.

So I set the plan in motion and made sure the Alarm clock was set at 7am the following day.

Arriving on the location, I setup the camera and made sure i got enough images so i could use the best image to produce the final edit. I used a Exposure Bracket for this shot to make sure i had the best dynamic range.

Poolbeg Chimney Dublin Sunset

Conversely, the sunset marks the end of the day, offering a chance to pause, unwind, and appreciate the day’s accomplishments. The warm, fiery tones that fill the sky during this time evoke a sense of peace and tranquility, inviting us to slow down and savor the moment.

Whether you prefer to greet the morning or bid farewell to the evening, experiencing the sunrise and sunset is a profound and meaningful way to connect with the natural rhythms of our world. So, take a moment to step outside, breathe deeply, and let the beauty of these daily events fill your heart and soul.

After the sunrise I had to go back to the Photopills all to see where a good location would be for the Sunset for that day.
To my surprise it would set in such a way that I could get this between the Poolbeg Chimney’s, A shot i also was looking to get for a long time.

So this turned out to be a very good day if all went well.
I drove back to the Wooden Bridge in Clontarf, only this time to go over it and park the car further of the peer.

From here i just needed to get the right angle to make sure the Sunset would be in between the two large chimney’s.

As there was a good bit of wind I used a longer exposure to make sure i could fade out the clouds.
