Arrival Day – 22nd Feb: Try to arrive at SKG Thessaloniki Airport by 14:00 P.M, or as close to this time, once your flights are booked, please let me know. This will help to build a pickup schedule. Once everyone has arrived, I will make sure you are brought to your accommodation. After you have settled into your room, we will meet for dinner, which will be your first experience of the Greek food culture & hospitality. A very important part of this trip.

After the dinner, I will brief everyone on what the plan is for the following days.

First Boat Trip – 23rd Feb: The day is split into 3 (sunrise shoot – afternoon edits – sunset shoot)

Please note that it can be cold on the water in the morning & evening, this is why we have the clothes to bring section above.

Up early (5:30 am), to arrive and get on the lake with the pelicans before sunrise. Make sure to fill your flask. We will be on the lake for about 2 hours, till after sunrise. Once we are back at the harbour, we will all meet for breakfast/brunch. After this, everyone has until 12 pm to relax and look at some of the images from the morning. In the afternoon, we will do some post-processing with some editing tips and tricks to help you get the best out of your images. (Bring your laptop if you can)

At around 16:30, we set off to the boats again to get ready for the sunset shoot. We will be on the lake for another few hours, and once back at base, we will all have dinner and finish day 1 with some good conversation and get ready for a good night’s sleep.

Second Boat Trip – 24th Feb: The day is split into 3 (sunrise shoot – afternoon walk – sunset shoot)

The start of day 2 is more or less the same as day one. We can decide to go to the other side of the lake, but our skippers will advise on this. The afternoon program can be decided after breakfast/brunch. A walk in the nearby village is nice, where there are even some little owls hiding about.

Third Boat Trip – 25th Feb: The day is split into 3 (sunrise shoot – afternoon edits – sunset shoot)

Day 3, in terms of the boat trip, will be the same as days 1 & 2, and at this stage, we will all know what shots we would like to focus on, and I will make sure everyone gets that one shot they have in mind.

The 3 days are more or less the same, but we need this time to also make sure you get the shots you want, and the weather helps us to do so. There might even be some nice fog on the lake.

Day Four – 26th Feb: Depending on the weather.

We will explore some of the area so that we can have a relaxing day before the journey home the next day.

Day Five – 27th Feb: Departing Day.

You will be brought back to the airport with cards full of images and good memories. 

After the trip: Teams Meetup.

I will set a date for a team meet-up where we will have time to go over some images that we all took. If anyone has any questions, this will be the place to ask and learn from each other. This will be a 1 or 2-hour session.
